These are the Site Rules, not the Chat Rules or Roleplay Rules. Those are still in this board, but they aren't here!
Welcome to the Site Rules page. Please read these before joining, or else you could slip up! If you make a mistake because you haven't read these rules, we will not believe you, and we will punish you, whether you've read them or not. So it's better you read the rules now and stay out of trouble, than be 'seen to' by the site staff!
The Member Agreement
As a member, you have to agree to these rules. These rules are words you must pledge before you can roleplay here - in the 'Request Help' board, there is the 'Pledge Signing Post', which you must sign so you can play here. We will keep making activity checks every month, so we will know if you have not signed! And, do this as soon as you join - rather than forgetting and being talked to. Better safe than sorry!
1. I will always follow the site rules, and I will help all new members settle in properly. If I disobey these rules, I agree to being punished by the staff because I have deliberately gone against their word, and it is the right word to protect all members from foul behaviour on this child-friendly website.
2. I will not plaguerize anyone's work here on Calamity Cats, be it in form of words, pictures or other. If I do I am betraying the member who originally posted their work which you stole. Calamity Cats staff take pride in knowing everyone is original, and everyone respects eachothers work - which means no flaming unless it is constructive.
3. I will not 'diss' (disrespect) anyone. Doing so will result in immediate action, as all members of this site deserve respect. I will always remember that no matter what the staff do to me, they are doing it on behalf of the members of the site, and for their welfare I must remember that they will never punish me more than I should be punished.
4. Everyone has a right to a say on this site, even if it is a heart-felt beg for a plot not to go on, or an outraged flame at everyone on the site for name-stealing or something of the likes. They have a right to let their feelings show on the site, and the staff will sort out any problems, leaving me no reason to interfere.
5. If I should find a threat to the site, I will report it immediately, even if it means sending an urgent Personal Message to the owner of the site, Mysteryfaith. If I find any faults in the site's manufacturing, I shall leave a polite note explaining the fault (be it a disappearing c-box, code problem, or something of the sort) in the General Board, and wait for a response.
6. If I am not active, I shall not be surprised or shocked when I return after the 2 or more months I am unactive, and my account has been deleted or locked by a member of staff. Before I create a new account or leave (we hope not!), I will check with the owner if my account has been locked, and if it has, I will immediately apologize to the owner if I had not left a note (leaving a note stops deletion/locking of accounts) and will regain my account under her instructions.
7. If I am going to be leaving the site for a period of time, the staff expect a note written by me and only me explaining how long I will be, when I will be back, who will be looking after my cats (if any) and where I am going. I will not leave without warning, as I will be responsible for my own account's deletion/locking if it does happen to me, and excuses will not be accepted.
8. I will follow all rules of the site without question, and if I disagree with the owner and her staff then I am disagreeing with the main body of the site, and I will be heard, but if my idea is not adequite for the site, or if it is something slightly too advanced for all of our members - we are an intermediate/advanced roleplay, but we are willing to let 'noobs' join and learn from us - my ideas will be rejected, and I will see all reason in the owner's rejection of my suggestion.
9. When I am on the site, I will try to put 100% into my posts so all the members of the site can enjoy my work. I will not 'mope' or complain about anything on the site if it is uncalled for.
